TappedIn Web Chat:

Bill Hilton Jr., author of This Week at Hilton Pond and founder of Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History, leads "Nuts About Nature"--a free monthly Web chat for educators and other nature enthusiasts through the TappedIn network. If you're interested in joining in, register as a member or guest at TappedIn and log in at 9 p.m. ET on any 3rd Tuesday. Each month starts off with discussion of a general theme, but the chat is likely to cover a variety of topics.

TappedIn is the online workplace of an international community of education professionals. K-12 teachers and librarians, professional development staff, teacher education faculty and students, and researchers engaged in professional development programs and informal collaboration with colleagues. It is owned and operated by SRI International and is funded by The National Science Foundation and Sun Microsystems.

Hilton Pond Center also offers "Nuts About Nature" on-line audio/visual Web conferences for K-12 teachers and students, using iChat and Macintosh computers.
