ANOTHER MYSTERY BIRD, Part 1

We always enjoy bird banding and being able to contribute our data in the hope of helping ornithology gain better understanding of some aspect of a bird's life history. There are times when we're REALLY glad we're allowed to capture wild birds--such as this week when we trapped at Hilton Pond Center a Mystery Bird we might not even have been able to identify had we just seen it "on the wing."

Below you'll find a photo of this bird. When you think you know what it is--or when you give up trying!--click on the link under the picture to learn the Mystery Bird's true identity and for more information about this unusual creature.
